Chayofa is one of the population entities that make up the municipality of Arona, on the island of Tenerife.
The entity takes its name from Morro Chayofa, a mountainous elevation in the area. The term Chayofa is of Guanche origin, meaning according to some authors ‘flow, torrent’.
It is completely surrounded by the town of La Camella, located about 5 kilometers southwest of the municipal capital and at an average altitude of 260 meters.
It is a town made up of residential developments, with some hotel spaces. The El Mojón health center is located here. The German-Speaking Evangelical Church is also located here.
