The town of Tajao, in the municipality of Arico, about 35 minutes by car from the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 20 minutes from the well-known and touristic Costa Adeje, is a small and picturesque coastal town.
It is usually very famous in Tenerife for the quality of the fresh fish that can be eaten in its restaurants. Therefore, it is more than advisable to spend a day at the beach in this area of the island and enjoy the local cuisine. Tajao also has a small fishing port and pier near the beach.
The beach is easily accessible and you can park next to the beach or in one of the nearby streets. This beach is not very well known, so it is not usually very busy, which is one of the main advantages. Most of the beach visitors are local people who live in the surrounding area. The sea is usually not very strong and is generally safe.
